Conditions
By downloading or using the app, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app. You’re not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You’re not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn’t try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to Merriment Ltd.
Merriment Ltd is committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you’re paying for.
You should be aware that there are certain things that Merriment Ltd will not take responsibility for. Certain functions of the app will require the app to have an active internet connection. The connection can be Wi-Fi, or provided by your mobile network provider, but Merriment Ltd cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, and you don’t have any of your data allowance left.
If you’re using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, you should remember that your terms of the agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, you may be charged by your mobile provider for the cost of data for the duration of the connection while accessing the app, or other third party charges. In using the app, you’re accepting responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the app outside of your home territory (i.e. region or country) without turning off data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you’re using the app, please be aware that we assume that you have received permission from the bill payer for using the app.
Along the same lines, Merriment Ltd cannot always take responsibility for the way you use the app i.e. You need to make sure that your device stays charged – if it runs out of battery and you can’t turn it on to avail the Service, Merriment Ltd cannot accept responsibility.
With respect to Merriment Ltd’s responsibility for your use of the app, when you’re using the app, it’s important to bear in mind that although we endeavour to ensure that it is updated and correct at all times, we do rely on third parties to provide information to us so that we can make it available to you. Merriment Ltd accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app.
Scrappychef reserves the right to delete non-bookmarked recipes from its server after a certain date, without prior notice to users. This may include recipes that have not been accessed or viewed by users for a specified period of time, as determined by Scrappychef at its sole discretion. Scrappychef does not guarantee the availability of all recipes on its server and is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the deletion of non-bookmarked recipes. By using Scrappychef, you agree to these terms and acknowledge that any recipe not saved to your bookmarks may be subject to deletion from the server at any time.
Subscription Terms
By subscribing to our Basic or Premium monthly subscription options, you agree to the following terms:
Subscription Fees: You will be charged a monthly fee for your selected subscription option. The subscription fee will be charged to your payment method on file on a monthly basis.
Automatic Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew each month, unless you cancel your subscription before the renewal date. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for the renewal fee each month.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time by accessing your account settings in the app or by contacting our customer support team. If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to the service until the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of the subscription period.
Changes to Subscription Fees: We reserve the right to change the subscription fees for our Basic and Premium options at any time. We will provide you with notice of any such changes prior to the effective date.

User Obligations: You are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date payment information in your account settings. You must also comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

By subscribing to our Basic or Premium monthly subscription options, you acknowledge and agree to these subscription terms.
Payment Terms
Payment for our service is processed through a third-party payment processor, Stripe. By using our service, you agree to be bound by Stripe's terms and conditions, which are available at https://stripe.com/terms.
Payment Methods: We accept payment by credit or debit card. All payments are processed through Stripe's secure payment gateway.
Payment Information: You are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date payment information in your account settings. We do not store your payment information on our servers.
Taxes: All prices listed for our service are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
Billing Cycle: You will be charged the subscription fee on a monthly basis, starting from the date of your first payment.
Failure to Pay: If we are unable to process payment for your subscription fee, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription.
Access to Stripe Management Portal: You can access the Stripe Management Portal through your account page in the app. From there, you can update your payment information, view your payment history, and manage your subscription.
Refunds: We do not offer refunds for any fees or charges associated with your subscription.
By using our service, you acknowledge and agree to these payment terms.
Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Scrappychef is a generative cooking app that suggests recipes based on ingredients entered by the user. While we strive to provide safe and delicious meal suggestions, it is possible that some ingredients may be poisonous or harmful if not prepared or consumed properly. It is the user's responsibility to ensure that all ingredients are safe to use and consume. Scrappychef takes no responsibility for any injury, illness, or harm that may result from using our app. By using Scrappychef, you agree to assume all risks associated with using the app and its suggested recipes.
Intellectual Property
For the purposes of this Agreement, “Intellectual Property Rights” means all patent rights, copyright rights, moral rights, rights of publicity, trademark, trade dress and service mark rights, goodwill, trade secret rights and other intellectual property rights as may now exist or hereafter come into existence, and all applications therefore and registrations, renewals and extensions thereof, under the laws of any state, country, territory or other jurisdiction.
Termination
Termination: We may terminate your use of the app at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to:
Breach of these Terms: You breach any term of these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to the terms related to payment, subscription, user conduct, or intellectual property.
Hacking: You hack, interfere with, manipulate, or abuse the recipe usage meter, or engage in any other fraudulent activity in connection with the app.
Obscene Ingredients: You enter obscene or offensive ingredients into the recipe generator, or use the app in any manner that violates our community guidelines.
Illegal Activity: You use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, including but not limited to infringing any third-party rights or engaging in any activity that is unlawful, defamatory, or harmful.
Safety Concerns: We believe that your use of the app poses a risk to the safety or well-being of other users, or to the app itself.
Upon termination, you will immediately cease all use of the app and any content obtained through the app. We reserve the right to take appropriate legal action, including but not limited to pursuing civil or criminal proceedings, for any unauthorized use of the app or violation of these Terms and Conditions.
You acknowledge that termination of your use of the app may result in the loss of access to your account information, data, and other materials associated with your account, and that we will not be liable for any such loss."
Changes to This Terms and Conditions
We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
